The Wagrain ski area is the hub of the Flachau- Wagrain- St.Johann ski area. Our 3 gondola lifts and the expansive ski areas on the Grafenberg – out towards St. Johann – the Griesskareck and the Wagrainer Höhe – in the direction of Flachau – make every single one of your winter's dreams come true. The elevation of the Wagrain ski area (850 – 2,000 m), here on the northern side of the Alps, promises snows you can count on from the beginning of December until April. And in order to deal with any fluctuations in weather and precipitation, and to guaranteed uninterrupted skiing enjoyment, the Wagrain ski area is also serviced by snowmaking machines.

For our "Nordic" winter visitors to Wagrain, we and the surrounding communities of the Sports World groom 220 km of cross-country ski trails, which offer a full range of difficulty levels. An ideal base from which to set out on the 50 km-long Tauern Trail, Wagrain promises unforgettable cross-country experiences through easy and variety-filled countryside. For a cross-country adventure of a very special kind, the touring trail leading to Kleinarl and the nature sanctuary around Lake Jägersee is an opportunity not to be missed. Based on your own conditioning and skills, you will be able to decide for yourself which trail stages are about to turn your next day of skiing into yet another memorable highlight of your vacation.

If you prefer a more leisurely pace, then we invite you to take relaxing strolls through countryside in and around Wagrain blanketed deep in snow. 20 km of winter hiking paths and a self-guided Culture Walk are just waiting to be discovered by you.
